Week of 1/3 to 1/7/ 2011

MESSAGE TO ALL CLASSES:

At the beginning of this week, all classes will be given a mid-term review test that they are to work on throughout the week at home to prepare for the mid-term.  On Friday of this week, we will go over any questions students have in regard to the mid-term review.  Students may also ask questions at the end of the period during this week .
All mid-term review tests must be completed by Friday in order to ask questions and be prepared for the math mid-term the following week.  Mid-terms are worth 10 % of the overall grade at the end of the year.  Please come prepared for this comprehensive, 1 1/2 hour long exam.

The mid-term exam schedule is as follows:
  1/10 Monday - Per 1 and 2
 1/11 Tuesday - Per 6 and 7
1/12 Wednesday - Per 3 and 4
1/13 Thursday - Per 5

Alg II - We will start the week by covering Sec 5-3 (using the vertex form of a quadratic function)  There will be a test this week on Sec 5-1 to 5-3. After that, we will prepare for the mid-term.  Please see message above to all classes.  Begin preparing for the mid-term.
Monday - Sec 5-3 / Pg 255/ #1-11 odd, 13-20 odd, 27-35 odd
Tuesday -  HW:  Sec 5-1 to 5-3 Review Test
Wednesday - Study for test tomorrow on Sec 5-1 to 5-3
Thursday - Test today - Sec 5-1 to 5-3
                  HW: Finish mid-term review test given earlier in the week
                           Complete Open-ended question (Maximizing Area)
Friday - Study for mid-term

Pre-Algebra 7 - This week we will be using different formulas to solve problems.  We will then test on Sec 3-1 to 3-4.  A mid-term review will be on Friday.  Please see above message to all classes..

Tuesday - Sec 3-4 Pg 147/ #1-27
Wednesday-  Study for test tomorrow on Sec 3-1 to 3-4
Thursday - Test today on Sec 3-1 to 3-4
